PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton’s 2026 Princeton Festival will open June 5 at Morven Museum & Garden with a weekend of Broadway, opera, dance, and family-friendly programming.
Events will run through June 21 on the Morven grounds, with Baroque concerts scheduled at nearby Trinity Church.
The opening weekend begins Friday, June 5, at 7 p.m. with Sierra Boggess, identified in the announcement as Broadway’s original “Little Mermaid,” returning to the Festival for a cabaret-style program of Broadway songs and personal stories.
On Saturday, June 6, at 8 p.m., soprano Sondra Radvanovsky will perform arias by Verdi and Puccini, joined by tenor Victor Starsky for opera duets and accompanied by the Princeton Symphony Orchestra led by Edward T. Cone Music Director Rossen Milanov.
Sunday, June 7, is designated as Community Day. The day starts with free morning Yoga in the Garden for ages 10 through adult.
From noon to 3 p.m., the lineup includes the PSO BRAVO! Instrument Petting Zoo, a Musical Story Time with a Princeton Symphony Orchestra musician and a nature story read by a Morven Museum & Garden horticulturalist, a quilting exhibition with the Princeton Sankofa Stitchers Modern Quilt Guild, and American Repertory Ballet’s 30-minute Swan Lake experience with audience participation.
Community Day will close with An Evening of Dance at 7 p.m., bringing together American Repertory Ballet and the Princeton Symphony Orchestra.
The program includes pas de deux from The Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake, Concerto Francaix choreographed by Charles Askegard, and the world premiere of a new work choreographed by Michelle Quiner to Caroline Shaw’s “The Beech Tree” from Plan and Elevation.
The festival continues with The Sebastians on June 9, Twelfth Night on June 11, and the opening night of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly on June 12.
A second performance of Madama Butterfly is set for June 14. The schedule also includes Queen Nation on June 13 and Time for Three on June 18.
The final weekend, June 19 to 21, is devoted to Celebrating AMERICA at 250, a three-day showcase of American music presented in partnership with the Municipality of Princeton.
That weekend includes Great Ladies of Jazz on June 19, The Bacon Brothers on June 20, and an American Fanfare concert by the Princeton Symphony Orchestra on June 21 at 3 p.m.
Free family activities for children of all ages are scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. before the June 21 concert.
Picnic boxes from Jammin’ Crepes can be pre-ordered up to 48 hours before each mainstage Festival performance except the June 6 Sondra Radvanovsky concert.
