PRINCETON, NJ — Cirque Anouchka Bouglione presents Cirque de Paris is returning to Princeton under the Big Top at MarketFair from August 20 through September 7.

The show is produced by Anouchka Bouglione, a seventh-generation member of France's Bouglione circus family, who has assembled a new lineup of European circus performers for this year's run. The production blends European circus tradition with the family's French style, according to the release.

The 90-minute show will feature the Supka Family juggling troupe, two traditional circus clowns, and the season debut of Bouglione's two children, Noah and Alyana.

The Bouglione family's circus legacy dates to 1934, when Anouchka Bouglione's great-grandfather, Joseph Bouglione, and his brothers Alexandre, Sampion and Firmin — known as the "Four Brothers Bouglione" — became owners of the Cirque D'Hiver in Paris.

The family's venue gained wider recognition in 1955 when it was used to film the movie "Trapeze," starring Tony Curtis, Gina Lollobrigida and Burt Lancaster.

Bouglione now produces and directs Cirque de Paris performances in towns across the country.
