Shoplifting, Driving While Intoxicated: Princeton Police Blotter

The Princeton police blotter dated July 21 had the following reports:

The following is a summary of incidents as reported by Princeton Police:

PRINCETON, NJ - On July 16, Patrol responded to a retail business located on Hulfish Street to investigate a reported shoplifting. Upon their arrival they were told that an unknown man shoplifted 42 items with a total value of $5,040.00. Through surveillance video patrols were able to determine that the suspect then fled the area in a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of a separate jurisdiction. This incident remains under investigation.

On July 18, following the report of a two car motor vehicle accident on Alexander Street, one of the drivers was found to have been driving his vehicle

while intoxicated. The 23-year-old was arrested at the scene and transported to police

headquarters for processing. The Princeton resident was subsequently issued multiple motor vehicle summonses related to the incident and released to a sober adult.

On July 18, following a single car motor vehicle crash investigation on Alexander Street, the driver was found to be Driving While Intoxicated. The 25-year-old was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was processed. After the completion of his arrest processing, The Trenton resident was released to a sober adult. He was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses related to the incident.

On July 18, following a single car motor vehicle crash investigation on Nassau Street, the driver was found to be Driving While Intoxicated. The Kingston resident was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was processed. After the completion of his arrest processing, the 23-year-old was released to a sober adult. He was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses related to the incident.

On July 19, following a motor vehicle stop for speeding on Mercer Road, a Hamilton resident was arrested for having an outstanding warrant out of the Burlington Township Municipal Court. The man was taken back to police headquarters and processed. Miller was later ROR’d by the Burlington Township Municipal Court pending a future court date.
