'Hop On The Loop' This Fall In Princeton (patch.com) — Princeton officials are urging residents, students, and visitors to ride the free Loop Express and Loop Local buses to get around town this fall without worrying about parking. With routes linking downtown, Princeton Station, neighborhoods, and the Princeton Shopping Center, the Loop offers an easy way to reach shops, restaurants, cultural spots, and local events while supporting Princeton businesses.
3. Princeton Public Library to Hold Annual Friends and Foundation Book Sale from October 9-11 (newjerseystage.com) — Book lovers in Princeton can browse thousands of low-priced titles at the Friends and Foundation book sale at Princeton Public Library from October 9–11, including a strong children's selection. With an early paid preview, free general admission afterward, and half-price deals on Sunday, the sale both honors longtime volunteer Helen "Greenie" Neuburg and supports the library's programs.
4. Bristol Myers Squibb Plans 265 New Jersey Job Cuts Through May 2027 (wrat.com) — Bristol Myers Squibb plans to cut 265 jobs at its Princeton site between December 2026 and May 2027, part of a broader restructuring that has already eliminated 1,700 New Jersey positions. The company says the layoffs support a multiyear cost‑saving plan to fund research, while state and federal WARN laws require advance notice and severance for affected workers.
5. Princeton 1776 Fest (planetprinceton.com) — Princeton residents can step into colonial-era life at Morven's Princeton 1776 Fest, featuring live music, historical reenactors, craft demonstrations, and a new Battle of Princeton diorama from the Princeton Battlefield Society. With half-price museum admission, special Triumph '76 Ale, and family-friendly games and activities, it's a hands-on way to explore local Revolutionary War history close to home.
