PRINCETON, NJ —A 37-year-old Princeton woman died after her SUV was hit while it was disabled on I-78 and overturned early Monday, New Jersey State Police said.
Keisha P. Bruno was seriously injured in the crash and taken to an area hospital, where she later died, police said.
Troopers were called to I-78 east at milepost 27.8 in Bedminster Township around 1:04 a.m. on Monday.
According to a preliminary investigation, Bruno was driving a Kia SUV with one front-seat passenger when the Kia collided with a Volkswagen passenger vehicle. The crash left the Kia disabled in a travel lane.
A Volkswagen SUV heading east then hit the Kia, police said. The impact pushed the Kia off the left side of the road, where it overturned, police said.
The driver of the Volkswagen SUV suffered moderate injuries, and Bruno's passenger suffered minor injuries, police said. Both were taken to an area hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
