PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Human Services Department’s ninth annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive is underway. The drive benefits Princeton children who are low-income and in need of school supplies and new backpacks.

For the past nine years, the Princeton Human Services Commission, municipal employees, local businesses, organizations and residents have donated book bags and school supplies that have benefited over 150 Princeton children, according to the human services department.

The items are distributed to children from low-income families who attend the Princeton Public Schools and are entering kindergarten through sixth grade.
