Bart Bronk Appointed New Head Of Princeton's Hun School

Bronk will succeed Jon Brougham, who announced his retirement last year.

PRINCETON, NJ – The Hun School of Princeton has appointed Bart Bronk to serve as as the 11th head of school. Bronk is currently head of school at University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.

He will succeed Jon Brougham in July 2023. Brougham announced his retirement at the end of the 2022-2023 academic year after being at the helm of the school for 14 years. Read More: Head Of Princeton's Hun School Announces Retirement

Steve Wills, Hun School Board chair, CEO and COO of Palatin said Bronk was a dynamic leader with a forward-thinking approach to education. “He has a collaborative style, intellectual curiosity, and an affable and warm disposition. We are confident that he will serve our community well, support and advance every tenet of our mission, and keep The Hun School at the forefront of innovative and humanistic teaching,” Wills said.

During his five years at the University Liggett School, Bronk led the school through a successful $50 million capital campaign. Bronk has also served as provost and chief operating officer, associate head of school for academics and dean of faculty, associate dean of faculty, teacher, and coach.

Bronk said he was honored and excited to be selected as the next head of school. “I am particularly attracted to The Hun School because of the elegant notion of ‘vigorous and joyful learning’ captured in Hun’s mission statement. This aligns directly with what I believe teaching and learning should be: an engaging, relevant, student-centered process in which the student’s voice, ideas, choices, and passions are most important,” Bronk said.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania.
