Burglary, DUI, Simple Assault: Princeton Police Blotter

A bicyclist told police that his bicycle and lock worth $10,000 was stolen.

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Police blotter dated June 19, had the following reports:

On June 6, at 9:52 p.m., police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Bayard Lane. A 23-year-old man from Belle Mead, NJ was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. He was taken to PPD Headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.

On June 12 at 7:54 p.m., owners of a vehicle parked on Prettybrook Road told police that their vehicles were burglarized while they were at a private establishment. The unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle by breaking a window and then stole an unknown amount of property, police said. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On June 13 at 11:45 p.m., two people were engaged in a verbal dispute at Redding Circle. During the course of the argument, the unknown man spat on the victim’s face, and then fled the area, police said.

On June 14, 10:50 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop on State Road, a 23-year-old man from Dover, NJ was found to have an active ACS warrant for his arrest in the amount of $2,500 out of Roxbury Municipal Court. He was placed under arrest, transported to PPD Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance with a new court date, police said.

On June 16, a driver told police that an unknown individual(s) entered his vehicle while it was parked in a lot on Princeton Kingston Road and stole around $1720 worth of property. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

On June 17, 3:06 p.m., a bicyclist told police that his bicycle and lock were stolen after he secured it to a bicycle rack on Nassau Street. The bicycle and lock are valued at approximately $10,000, police said.

On June 18, 2:18 p.m., police responded to a report of a shoplifting. a 41-year-old Princeton resident was placed under arrest after he was found to have taken $53.98 worth of merchandise from a retail establishment on N. Harrison Street, police said. He was transported to PPD Headquarters where he was processed and released.
