Honey Hollow Nature Center

Honey Hollow Nature Center is proud to announce that it will host its inaugural Used and Rare Book Fair on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, from 10AM to 5PM. The fair will take place, rain or shine, at the 55-acre campus of the Nature Center located at 2877 Creamery Road in Solebury Township. The event is free and open to the public.
 
Expect to find many collectible items, including signed titles, first editions, oddities and obscurities alongside a fine crop of good-condition reading copies.
Program highlights include:
*11 AM— Lake Angela, former Poet Laureate of Bucks County, will serve as the featured reader, followed by poets Tricia Coscia, Steve Nolan, Robbin Farr, and Kevin Richard Kaiser.
*1 PM—James Mustich, Jr., author of 1000 Books to Read Before You Die, will moderate a "Battle of the Books" panel where five book lovers, including librarians from The Free Library of New Hope and Solebury and The Bucks County Free Library, will make the case for titles they think Jim should have included but didn’t.
*3 PM—Hayden Saunier, past Poet Laureate of Bucks County will be featured reader followed by Jane E. Mohler, Kevin Martin Taylor, Grant Clauser and one other local poet.
Readers will have an opportunity for an early look at the book selection for the fair at the Preview Event and Reception on Friday, May 15th from 6PM to 9PM where books will be available for sale. 'Trees Find A Way'
John Stritzinger's latest series "Trees Find A Way" explores the myriad expressions of trees in proximity with our human civilization. John's images, made in large cities and small towns in the US and abroad, catch trees finding ways to survive Vermont winters, add an exhilarating sense of place to urban squares in Savannah and Havana, and frame architectural history in New York and London. Trees express their inner character, appearing to hold hands as branches reach for decades toward a companion, delight in adding joyful bursts of color on bleak days, and rise above mundane structures evoking courage and endurance. Through composition and color these images elicit reverence and awe for our many-leaved companions as they find a way to be here now.

But, then…it’s complicated. I love the act of disassembling and reassembling the objects in my life (and not necessarily into their original form.) For me it is usually, “If….then”, and ultimately, why not…? My photographic approach is a self taught one with: Observation of the environment that surrounds me,…the people, the objects and the diversity of life. Understanding and mastering the tools I use to create the images that amaze me. Questioning long held rules of composition, format and design. And, a willingness to try, fail, and try again… always seeking to succeed.

'The Fractured Perspective'
In The Fractured Perspective, I explore the shifting boundary between reality and reimagination. My work seeks to dismantle the literal world—breaking apart the familiar until only its rhythmic, abstract essence remains. Treating the camera as a prism rather than a mirror, I use experimental in-camera techniques to uncover the hidden geometry of my surroundings. Whether it is the way light shatters through a glass of liquid, the mathematical precision of a staircase, or the organic symmetry of a bloom, I 'fracture' these subjects to reveal an underlying architecture of color and form. By treating post-processing as a second stage of creation, I am able to sculpt light and emphasize chromatic depth, pushing the boundaries of the original frame. These images are invitations to view photography as a medium for artistic expression and exploration of ideas. My aim is to challenge your perception and invite you to find beauty in what has been fragmented and recalibrated.
