The movie crew is currently filming at the Institute for Advanced Study, where J. Robert Oppenheimer served as director.

PRINCETON, NJ — Filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s next movie “Oppenheimer,” is currently filming in Princeton, if social media sleuths are to be believed.

It’s believed that some scenes from the movie are currently being shot at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. On Monday and Tuesday, movie crews were spotted at the campus, as vintage cars lined outside Fuld Hall. Movie extras dressed in vintage clothing were also seen. News of the filming was first reported by Tapinto.

The film is based on J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in developing the atomic bomb. Oppenheimer is the former director of the Institute for Advanced Study and is often referred to as the “father of the atomic bomb.”
