MERCER COUNTY, NJ — The College of New Jersey, based in Ewing, Mercer County will be remote for the upcoming winter session in January due to COVID-19

“New Jersey’s COVID caseload has climbed steadily over the last several weeks and just surpassed its previous peak set at the start of the year," said Jeffrey M. Osborn Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. "With a high rate of transmission expected to continue into the first weeks of 2022, the college has made an adjustment to the instructional mode for Winter Session, which begins on Monday, January 3, 2022.” It is not clear how many COIVD-19 cases were reported in the college.

Beginning Jan. 3 all classes have been moved to a remote modality. “Although the majority of Winter Session classes were already scheduled as a remote or online course, some classes were planned to be in-person or to employ a blended modality. These in-person and blended courses will now be delivered entirely remotely,” Osborn said Tuesday evening.
