Day Of Service In Nature For MLK Day In Princeton
The Friends of Princeton Open Space will be hosting A Day of Service in Nature on Jan. 16 at the Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve.
PRINCETON, NJ — Every year, MLK Day gives people the opportunity to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and encourages them to volunteer for their communities.
The Friends of Princeton Open Space will be hosting A Day of Service in Nature on Jan. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and then from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve.
Participants can join the land steward team at the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Presence and help remove invasive plants like the Japanese honeysuckle, burning bush and multiflora rose in riparian restoration project areas. They will also have the opportunity to sow winter seeds.
