Edison’s Middlesex College Gets $1M For Student Support Programs

Among other things, the funds will help improve the lives of residents who have been incarcerated or are at greater risk of incarceration.

EDISON, NJ - Middlesex College in Edison received $1 million in grant from the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education spending bill for Fiscal Year 2023.

The funds were secured by Congressman Frank Pallone, jr. (NJ-6).
The funding will go towards improving student retention and graduation rates, address equity gaps and assisting in improving the lives of Middlesex County residents who have been incarcerated or are at greater risk of being incarcerated.

“Education is one of the best tools we have to give individuals a chance to thrive in our community and break the cycle of poverty,” Pallone said in a statement.
