Election 2020: Who Is Running For Princeton School Board?

Eight candidates are seeking seats on the Princeton Board of Education this coming November.

PRINCETON, NJ — It appears it will be a contested race for the school board election in Princeton this year.

Eight candidates are pursuing three open three-year seats on the Princeton Board of Education in November 2020, according to the Mercer County Clerk's Office.

School Board President Beth A. Behrend (For Our Kids) and incumbent board member Michele L. Tuck-Ponder (Experience. Independence. Integrity.) all filed petitions to run for re-election by the 4 p.m. deadline to file petitions on Monday.

Adam Bierman (Excellent Affordable Schools), Hendricks S. Davis, Jean Y. Durbin and have also filed for a seat.

Paul M. Johnson, Karen Lemon, and William "Bill" Hare are all running together under the slogan (Diversity, Affordability, Trust).

Election day will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
