Emergency Bridge Repair Closes Alexander Road For 10 Days
The Mercer County DOT determined Stony Brook Bridge is in need of emergency structural repairs and it will be closed to all vehicles.

PRINCETON, NJ — An emergency bridge repair has been issued for the Stony Brook Bridge crossing Alexander Street in Princeton following a recent inspection by Mercer County Department of Transportation on Monday, April 8.
The Mercer County DOT determined the bridge is in need of repair causing Alexander Road to close for about 10 days to all vehicles for emergency structural repairs, Princeton Police announced.
This closure will impact all bus services that use Alexander Road. NJ Transit Bus has been notified.

Viable alternate routes to Route 1 are: Quaker Road and Province Line Load to the south, along with Harrison Street and Washington Road to the North.
