Employee Suing Hospital Over Alleged HIV Records Leak
The woman claims an employee accessed her records, and told co-workers she was HIV positive.

An employee at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro has filed a lawsuit against the hospital, claiming a breach led to co-workers learning of her HIV status, nj.com reports.
The lawsuit states the woman has been a housekeeping aide at the hospital since 1988, and was hospitalized in 2013. This is when the hospital created a record of her HIV-positive status, according to the report.
A year later, she learned that an employee had accessed her records and told other co-workers of her medical status, according to the report. The hospital allegedly informed the woman two months after the breach.
