Butler/Wilson 5K Run

A student-organized 5K run will be held on the Princeton University campus. The first and second 5Ks were held in September 2009 and last September to mark the opening of new facilities associated with the University's Butler and Wilson colleges.

The 3rd annual Butler/Wilson 5K is open to the public. Registration is a $5 minimum donation or a non-perishable food item for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK).

Pre-registrants will receive a T-shirt and will be entered into a special raffle. Pre-registrants can also pay the registration fee by credit card through the event website: http://www.butler5k.com.

Check-in and same-day registration will begin at 9 a.m. The rain date for the race is Sunday, Sept. 18.

The participants in the 2009 race donated $1,447 and two boxes of food to TASK, an organization that provides free meals and services throughout the greater Trenton area. The participants in the 2010 race donated over $2,500 to TASK.

The race will start at Butler's Bloomberg Hall and traverse much of the campus, including the new Streicker Bridge over Washington Road and a lap around Princeton Stadium to view the new Frick Chemistry Laboratory, before sweeping past Nassau hall and ending in front of the Butler College dormitories.
