NIXON-YLVISAKER MUSICAL MAGIC CONCERT

Julia Nixon and David Ylvisaker, will make musical magic together in a wonderful vocal & keyboard concert.


JULIA NIXON, a virtuoso vocal artist with a four-and-a-half octave range and powerful and wide repertoire, melds R&B, Jazz, Gospel and classic forms. Her Double Dawg Records’ “Keepin’on Track” was considered for a Grammy.
She has received many other accolades including a 2009 Wammie, a Washington, D.C.-Area Music Award.


DAVID YLVISAKER, an exceptionally intuitive musician and composer is also a vibrant keyboard artist. His versatility and musicianship on a variety of instruments is highly acclaimed. Ylvisaker grew up in the Princeton area so in lots of ways he is coming home. His Dad, Paul Ylvisaker, was well-known around Princeton as an urban planner who taught at Princeton University. Paul
Ylvisaker became NJ's first Commissioner of Community Affairs and also headed President Lyndon B. Johnson's Task Force on Cities, which helped to forge Johnson’s model-cities program.

The concert will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 50 Cherry Hill Road, Princeton, 08540. The concert benefits the work of the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA). $20 for CFPA members // $25 for non-members. Preferred Seating $40 for CFPA members // $50 for non-members. Light refreshments.
