Freckle Legend, Casuarina Take Stage In Princeton Saturday
Freckle Legend and Casuarina will perform at the Pettoranello Gardens Amphitheater on July 13.
PRINCETON, NJ — Freckle Legend and Casuarina will perform in Princeton on Saturday night in a double-bill at Pettoranello Gardens Amphitheater. The concert, which begins at 7 p.m. on July 13, will be presented by Blue Curtain and the Princeton Recreation Department.
Drummer RJ Rabin and bassist Rozhan Razman founded Freckle Legend. It has grown to become a six-person band that also includes Cale Hawkins (keyboards and vocals), Adam Stoler (guitar), Teddy Kumpel (guitar), and Benjamin Drazen (saxophone). Each member contributes years of experience as sidemen, filling their music with stories and characters that celebrate New York.
Brazilian samba band Casuarina celebrates its 18th anniversary this year. The band originated in Rio de Janeiro's famous Bohemian neighborhood Lapa, and has since brought their “samba made in Brazil” to more than 20 countries.

They perform their original compositions and classic samba repertoire by Paulinho da Viola, Dorival Caymmi, Martinho da Vila, Adoniran Barbosa, João Nogueira and more. The award-winning group most recently won “Best Samba Group” in 2017 from the 28th Brazilian Music Awards.
The Pettoranello Gardens Amphitheater is located at Route 206 and Mountain Avenue in Princeton.
