Salvant, also cited in The New York Times’ critics “All the Best Shows They’ve Seen in 2015,” is often compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Billie Holiday as a jazz diva, and she is a composer and visual artist as well.

Five of the songs on her award-winning album are her originals and the album cover was her creation.
