The state recently released the median salaries for principals, superintendents and administrators. See where Princeton ranks in N.J.:

PRINCETON, NJ — The state has released information showing how much school districts budgeted for the salaries of principals, superintendents, and administrators in 2019. This is how Princeton ranked:

In Princeton, the median salary is $137,678, it is the 3rd highest in Mercer County and 93rd highest in New Jersey. This was a salary decrease of 5.67 percent from 2018.

Ewing Township had the highest median salary in the county with $151,085 and Achievers Early College Prep Charter School had the lowest with $75,000.

The median statewide salary is $125,207, a 1 percent increase over 2018.

The information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending, which shows the median salary in every New Jersey school district for the salaries of principals, superintendents, and administrators in 2019.

In addition to median salaries, the site also shows each district's total spending, average daily enrollment and students from sending districts, the per-pupil costs and the district's total budget spending for 2019.
