Historical Society Of Princeton To Host Vintage Baseball Game June 24

Teams will play baseball clad in vintage uniforms and using rules from 1864.

PRINCETON, NJ — Get ready to watch an exciting match of vintage baseball, where participants will play a game of baseball but with rules from 1864.

On June 24, The Historical Society of Princeton will host The Flemington Neshanock and the Liberty Base Ball Club of New Brunswick in a friendly match of vintage baseball.

The teams will play bare-handed, wearing period uniforms and using 1864 rules.

The players from NJ and Pennsylvania will be costumed in vintage replica uniforms made y K&P Weavers, who reproduce vintage clothing.

The players will be taking questions from the crowd. After the game spectators will be invited to take batting practice using authentic replicas of the 19th century equipment.

This is an annual family event and no charge or pre-registration is required.
