High School Interim Principal’s Contract Extended, Search Continues In Princeton
A number of internal and external candidates have applied for the job of high school principal, the district said.

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Public Schools has extended the contract of high school interim principal Kathie Foster until Sept. 30.
Foster was hired in March after Principal Frank Chmiel was dismissed from the school district. She was to serve until June 30, which was the end of the current semester.
PPS has now extended her contract, as district officials continue the search for a permanent principal for the high school.

“The next phase is to bring the candidates in for in-person interviews with the full search committee,” Superintendent Carol Kelley said in a letter to the community.
However, due to the availability of search committee members the interviews have been scheduled to take place late August, Kelley said.
The BOE has scheduled a special meeting on Aug. 31, at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
