Labatut's Stuart: A lecture & tour celebrating Princeton University Architect Jean Labatut

Guest speakers J. Robert Hillier, FAIA and Jorge Ortero-Pailos, PhD. Jean Labatut was Director of Graduate Studies in Architecture at Princeton University when he built Stuart in 1963. He joined the University faculty in 1928 and was there for nearly 60 years. Awarded for his work both as an architect and teacher, Labatut had a great influence on contemporary architecture. Renown Princeton architect J. Robert Hillier was a student of Labatut's and the designer/drafter on the Stuart project. Dr. Ortero-Pailos has written extensively on the work and influence of Jean Labatut. He is an associate professor of historic preservation at Columbia University.
