Lightning Strikes Utility Poles, Causes Fire: Police
Wires are down, and there may be power outages in the area.

WEST WINDSOR, NJ — A lightning strike caused two utility poles to catch fire in West Windsor Friday evening, according to police. As a result, electrical wires fell into the street on South Mill from New Edinburg to Terry Lane.
Brush in the area is also on fire, and drivers are advised to avoid the area. Public service has been notified and is en route. Anyone who lives in the area may experience a power outage.
As of 8 p.m., PSE&G was working on restoring power to over 1,000 customers in West Windsor. The outage could last for several hours. To track outages, visit pseg.com or call 1-800-436-PSEG (7734) -or- 1-800-880-PSEG (7734).

Residents shouldn't call 911 for power outage statuses. Police said they will be disconnected in order to free up the line for people with legitimate emergencies.
The following traffic lights are being impacted by the storm: 571 & Rabbit hill, 571 & Slayback, and Meadow/Old Meadow. These lights either have no power or are on flash.
