Man Arrested, $7,000 In Cocaine Seized In Mercer County: Cops

Daniel Molina was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

One person was arrested 64 grams of powder cocaine and $3,865 in cash was seized following a three-week investigation by the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said on Friday.

Daniel Molina, 46, of Trenton, is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending future court proceedings.

Police said they discovered some of the cocaine and the money during a search of his home on Wednesday night, Jan. 10. Molina was arrested without incident when police stopped his BMW at Adeline and Hudson streets. During a search of his car, police said they found about six grams of cocaine packaged for distribution.

Detective Sergeant Brian Kiely estimated the cocaine is worth about $7,000. The search of Molina’s home was executed by officers with the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Hamilton and Trenton police, under the command of the prosecutor’s Special Investigations Unit.

Despite having been charged, Daniel Molina is presumed innocent unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
