PRINCETON, NJ — An unidentified man drowned in Lake Carnegie in Princeton Friday afternoon, according to police.
Police were notified shortly before 3 p.m. that a man had jumped into the lake off of the dock near the boat launch and disappeared after swimming for a few moments, Princeton police said Friday evening. Three officers arrived at the lake about three minutes after receiving the 911 call, and searched the area where the man was last seen.
Two police officers entered into the water and searched the area where a friend of the victim reported seeing him enter the water, police said. The officers saw bubbles come to the surface as the third officer probed the area with a pole from the dock.
