This Mercer Co. Store Is Churning Out Spooky Treats For Halloween
From "Boo Boo Bombs" to Halloween Smash Boxes - David Bradley Chocolatier is creating spooky treats. You can also plan a factory visit.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Tucked away in the industrial park in Robbinsville is David Bradley Chocolatier – a store that has been creating scrumptious chocolates and candies for the past 30 years. This Halloween, they’re offering some spooky and delicious treats.
“The most popular offering this year is the ‘Boo Boo Bomb’ — a cocoa bomb filled with cocoa and mini marshmallows that you drop into a cup of hot milk,” said owner Christine O’Brian. “What you then get is a cup of delicious hot chocolate. They come in ghost shapes and it’s a lot of fun.”
Another exciting treat offered this year is the Halloween Smash Box. Spooky mini cupcakes are sold with a hammer. When smashed, they reveal goodies inside — mini pretzels and nonpareils. There are also ghost pops, spider web pops, chocolate witch, and more.

The family-run business has been around in Mercer County for 30 years. And the fun part is patrons can visit the chocolate factory.
“From Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can see how chocolates and candies are made from the observation window,” said O’Brian. The window is decorated for Halloween and those visiting the factory get samples of the goodies, bracelets, or some craft that kids can make.

The business was first started by O’Brian’s grandmother, and soon her father — a corporate bond broker left his job and began helping with the business. O’Brian’s parents, Marcy and Bob Hicks ran the factory for many years and are now enjoying a “well-deserved retirement” with O’Brian taking over the reins.
Currently, the business has 35 employees with 15 being full-time. “Our customers are amazing. They’ve been with us for years. We do a lot of wholesale for other businesses — like Hallmark and mom-and-pop stores,” said O’Brian.
David Bradley also has fun fall offerings — 3D cornucopia, pumpkin spice malted milk balls, gummy candy corns, fall gummy pumpkins, maple cocoa truffles, and a lot more.
David Bradley Chocolatier will be at the Quaker Bridge Mall beginning Nov. 1 through December, on the lower level next to Pandora.
You can plan a visit to the chocolate factory located at 92 North Main Street Building 19, Robbinsville. Orders can also be placed online via Grubhub and Doordash.
