Princeton Cancellations Due to Storm

Princeton, NJ -- The Neighborhood FreeB bus service in Princeton will not operate on Saturday due to the pending blizzard, Princeton Police said Friday afternoon.

As of just before 4 p.m., NJ Transit has not suspended service on the 605 and the 606 bus routes in Princeton for Saturday. 

All events in the Princeton Public School District scheduled for this weekend, including SAT testing, have been cancelled due to the pending blizzard, the district announced on Friday.

All events scheduled for Friday were to be complete by 6 p.m., with the exception of the pasta dinner at Johnson Park Elementary School, which was to be finished by 8 p.m. depending on the weather.

SAT testing, scheduled for Saturday, has been rescheduled for Feb. 20.

Princeton University will have an update on its weekend operations posted online by 6 a.m. Saturday.

Anyone driving to campus Friday evening or Saturday is asked to park in either the North or West garages.

The TigerTransit “Saturday Shopper” buses have been canceled. Dillon Gymnasium will be closed on Saturday.

No classes are scheduled Saturday as the intercession period between the fall and spring semesters begins.

Additionally, the McCarter Theater Center in Princeton will be closed on Saturday, Jan. 23. Both the 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. performances of August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson have been canceled.

The Mercer County Indoor Track and Field Championships previously scheduled for Sunday morning at Lawrenceville High School have been canceled, nj.com reports.

There is no makeup date.
