Mercer County Man Captured in Florida Charged With December Murder

Anthony Concepcion was charged with murder and other charges in the Dec. 13, 2014 death of Patrick Walker.

A Trenton man has been arrested in Florida and charged with the Dec. 13, 2014 murder of Patrick Walker, Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini Jr. and Trenton Police Director Ernest Parrey announced Wednesday morning.

Anthony L. Concepcion, 23, was charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

He was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in a hotel in Altamont Springs, Florida after receiving information on a lead developed by the U.S. Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force.

The charges come as the result of an investigation conducted by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force.

At about 1:59 a.m. on Dec. 13, police responded to the corner of North Clinton Avenue and Poplar Street on a report of a shooting in progress. Upon arrival, officers located Walker, age 39, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Concepcion’s bail was set at $500,000 cash or bond. He is being held in Seminole County Jail pending extradition proceedings.
