Mercer County Parks Commission Executive Director Fired Amid State Investigation: Report
No reason was given for Kevin Bannon's firing.

The Executive Director for the Mercer County Parks Commission who was asked to take a temporary leave of absence amidst an investigation by the state’s Attorney General’s Office has been fired, the Princeton Packet reports.
No reason has been given for Kevin Bannon’s firing, which was made official during last week’s Park Commission meeting, according to the report. Aaron Watson is the Interim Director.
Bannon, who made $135,275, had been with the commission since 2004.

He was asked to take a temporary leave in April, after it was revealed the Mercer County Park Commission and the non-profit Friends of Mercer County Parks were the subjects of an inquiry by the Office of the State Attorney General.
The investigation targeted the Hunt House in Hopewell, and the Tennis Center in West Windsor, according to the Princeton Packet.

The Attorney General’s Office has not publicly acknowledged the investigation, and the county hasn’t provided specifics as to what is under investigation.
