Mercer County To Spray For Mosquitoes In Princeton Friday
The spraying is done to bring mosquito populations to tolerable levels or to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne disease.
PRINCETON, NJ — Mercer County will be spraying for mosquitoes in Princeton overnight on Friday to Saturday.
The spraying done with a truck-mounted ULV adulticide application will be done on Sept. 27 at 12 a.m. through sunrise of Sept. 28 on Heritage Boulevard area in Princeton. The truck will be spraying Anvil 2+2 or Zenivex E4.
It is only done in specific areas when deemed absolutely necessary and under the appropriate environmental conditions to bring mosquito populations to tolerable levels or to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne disease such as Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus, also referred to as "EEE" or "Triple E,".

Human infections of this deadly virus that's associated with horses have tripled in New Jersey in just a matter of weeks, and there's evidence that it's spread to 13 counties in the state.
