Princeton favorites Agricola, Eno Terra, Elements, and the Peacock Inn all received coveted spots on New Jersey Monthly’s list of the 25 best Garden State restaurants this year.
The magazine gave a nod to Eno Terra for its attention to detail and meticulously selected ingredients, including 14 varieties of beets, Jersey-caught golden tilefish, and slices of rhubarb.
The buzz about Agricola's debut was well-deserved, according to the magazine, which wrote “Make no mistake: [chef] Thomsen and his chef de cuisine, Manlee Siu (‘my right arm’), who came with him from San Francisco, handle proteins beautifully. But the love they lavish on vegetables, and their knack for elevating them to costar status, fulfills Agricola’s farm-to-table promise.”

Elements was praised for its innovative “artisanal techniques of preserving food,” including curing, pickling, and even fermenting. The restaurant sources local, organic ingredients and frequently changes up the menu, including a farm to fork selection that uses ingredients directly from area farms.
The Peacock Inn made its return to the Top 25 list, with compliments for its corn-and-coconut soup, roasted tilefish, and parsnip-and-apricot puree with veal.
