NJ Woman, 80, Fell Asleep In Car. Next Morning, The Car Was Gone.

The New Jersey woman was found in the morning lying in the driveway, police said.

HAMILTON – An 80-year-old New Jersey woman fell asleep in her car on Thursday, police said. When she woke up, it was gone.

The woman, who was not identified, woke up early in the morning lying in the driveway, police said.

The incident happened when Hamilton Township police responded to Fairlawn Avenue at 4 a.m on a report of a carjacking.

Upon arrival, police learned that the woman fell asleep in her vehicle around 9 p.m. on Wednesday She woke up 7 hours later.

The woman had a fresh abrasion and bruise on her face but declined medical attention, police said.

The vehicle was recovered in Trenton unoccupied. An investigation is ongoing.
