PRINCETON, NJ — Tough Mudder Bootcamp will be bringing New Jersey’s first franchise location to Princeton, which will offer the brand’s signature high-intensity team training fitness courses.

The Tough Mudder Bootcamp location in Princeton will be locally owned and operated by franchisees Alex Humanick and Danielle Weiss. The gym will be based on the Tough Mudder Mission that centers on teamwork, camaraderie, courage, personal accomplishment and fun.

Site selection for the new gym is currently underway with an anticipated opening timeline for Spring 2019.

"It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity to bring the iconic brand of Tough Mudder to New Jersey for the first time," said Humanick. "We hope to build a diverse community through the bootcamp and bring more people together through fitness. This aligns with our values of inclusion for all, health and building a community."

Prior to signing an agreement to bring the franchise to Princeton, Humanick and Weiss worked together as Easterseals Executives, leading lead recreational programs and summer camps for individuals with disabilities. Their experience prompted the business duo to start Skylands Family Support in 2012, a company that works with nearly 700 individuals with disabilities and their families to foster independence and growth and dignity by creating a more inclusive community.

"We hope to use our expertise from Skylands to make an inclusive gym and build a community that supports each other through fitness and health," added Humanick.

Each Bootcamp class will act as a “community center” to motivate members to achieve their fitness goals through realistic benchmarks and Tough Mudder events.

Tough Mudder Bootcamp’s 45-minute HIIT classes are usually less than $10 a class with an unlimited membership and will deliver a full-body workout that is fun, customizable – to challenge all fitness levels – and highly motivating and social. Classes are team-based and designed around four pillars: strength, power, agility and endurance.

All classes are drop-in ready; single classes are $20 each and membership packages range from $56 to $160 per month.
