Obituary: Alberto Taffa, 90
Painter and sculptor, owner of Albert Taffa Painting and Decorating, died Oct. 6.

Alberto Taffa, 90, of Princeton, died Oct. 6 at the Merwick Care and Rehabiltation Center in Plainsboro.
Born in Mantova, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1953.
Taffa was a painter and sculptor working in oils, wood and bronze. He owned and operated “Albert Taffa Painting and Decorating” in Princeton for 40 years.

He studied at the Art Academy of Vincenza in Italy and has had his works displayed at several shows in Princeton.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening and the beach.

Son of the late Eugenio and Julia Lorenzata Taffa, he is survived by his wife, Anna Nellissen Taffa; a daughter, Diana Russo and her husband John; grandchildren, James Russo and his wife Lisa Tomaszewski, and Stephanie Laudien and her husband Harold. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Mia Laudien and William Russo, several cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday in The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road in Lawrenceville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Alberto’s memory be made the The Church of St. Ann Faith Development Center, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
