Officials To Investigate Drowning At Princeton Community Pool
A 24-year-old man died after he was found in a community pool last month.

Princeton, NJ -- Officials in Princeton will review how an Aug. 20 incident at the Princeton Community Park Pool in which a 24-year-old college student drown and later died was handled, the Princeton Packet reports.
Collin Simonelli, of Princeton, was found unresponsive in the pool at about 2 p.m. by another bather on Aug. 20.
Pool personnel initiated life-saving efforts to rescue Simonelli from the pool and began medical treatment.
The Princeton Police Department and the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad responded and assisted with lifesaving efforts.

Simonelli was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro where he was pronounced deceased later that evening.
Officials said last week they would investigate how the incident was handled, but had no timetable, according to the report.

They said there was a full complement of lifeguards on duty that day, including two at the pool in which Simonelli was found.
