An opportunity for everyone with an electric bill

Subscribers to the program receive a financial credit [dollars] on their PSE&G utility bill. This works for anyone, especially if one’s home or apartment is shaded or otherwise unable to add solar energy panels. One such approved providing company offers a 31% discount on one’s energy bill just for enrolling.

Community Solar projects are located around New Jersey and create electricity from solar that goes directly into the PSE&G power grid. The solar energy made by these arrays is then shared by all subscribers.

I have seen this program in action and it ‘makes a difference’ in how one thinks about the electricity we need and use every day. The PSE&G website shows you how much and when you are using electricity. Just a regular review of the information is helpful in monitoring and thinking about how and when one can be more efficient with this valuable resource.

increasing our energy independence.
