Pair of Princeton Wrestlers Advance to Regional Tournament
As a team, Princeton finished sixth in District 17.

Two Princeton High School wrestlers have advanced to the regional round of their respective individual championship tournaments.
Alec Bobchin and James Verbeyst advanced with runner-up finishes in their weight classes in the District 17 tournament at Hunterdon Central on Saturday, according to nj.com.
Bobchin advanced to the final match of the 120-pound tournament before being pinned by Hunterdon Central’s Peter Nace in two minutes, 16 seconds. Bobchin advanced to the final with a 9-5 win over Delaware Valley’s Vito Intili.

Verbeyst advanced to the 145-pound tournament final, where he lost to Hunterdon Central’s Kevin Ciresa, 5-1. Verbeyst advanced to the final with a pinfall victory over Delaware Valley’s Rhys Zigich in the semifinals. He scored the pinfall in 1:22.
As a team, Princeton finished sixth out of 10 teams with 52 points. Hunterdon Central won the district title with 202.5 points, and Delaware Valley was second with 197 points.
