Pennington Tops List of Places to Raise Family in New Jersey; Princeton is No. 47

Looking for a place to raise a family in New Jersey? Look no further than Pennington, a recent survey says.

Information services provider Niche.com has Pennington ranked No. 1 in its most recent list of “Best Suburbs to Raise a Family” in New Jersey. Princeton is No. 47.

Pennington scores an A+ for crime and safety, education, community and access to day cares. It scored an A for access to libraries and housing, and an A- for access to grocery stores.

Princeton earned an A+ for education and community, and an A for access to grocery stores. It earned a B+ for crime and safety and access to day cares, a B for housing and a C- for access to libraries.

West Windsor is the only other Mercer County town ranked ahead of Princeton, coming in at No. 10.
