John Witherspoon Middle School Call Included Threat Of Weapons: Princeton Police
The threat was received just before 10 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Princeton, NJ -- The phone threat at John Witherspoon Middle School was received from an unknown man claiming that there were people with weapons in the school, Princeton Police said early Wednesday afternoon.
The call came in at 9:50 a.m., and the school was placed under a lockdown while police responded to the scene.
"Our officers are on scene investigating the incident," police said in an earlier message. "We will investigate this incident to our fullest capability to ensure the safety of the students, faculty and staff. If you have any questions please call the Princeton Police Department at (609) 921-2100."

The school was deemed safe at 10:24 a.m. Students were allowed to return to normal activities.
Police maintained an active presence at the school for the rest of the school day.

The Detective Bureau is investigating the origin of the phone call. No further information was available Wednesday afternoon.
