Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Mercer County

A Trenton man was shot to death in the city Wednesday night, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday morning.

Trenton Police discovered 23-year-old Ricardo Montalvan Jr. in a silver Toyota Camry suffering from at least one gunshot wound after responding to reports of a shooting in progress and a man shot in a parking lot at 212 Whittaker Avenue around 9:50 p.m.

Montalvan Jr. was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 10:15 p.m.
