Police Investigate String Of Car Burglaries, Thefts In Princeton

A number of car burglaries and thefts occurred between May 12 and 13, according to the police blotter.

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Police Department is investigating a number of car burglaries and thefts in the Municipality, between May 12 and 13.

On May 12, a Lambert Drive resident managed to scare away two burglars who entered her property and attempted to enter vehicles that were parked in her driveway, according to the police. The suspects fled before gaining entry when the resident slammed the patio door in an attempt to alert them of her presence.

An Audubon Lane resident told police two people walked up to her driveway and attempted to enter her vehicles at 01:30 a.m., May 13. Police said one of the suspects entered the car, which was left unlocked, and removed an EZ-Pass transponder from the vehicle. Nothing else was taken.

A resident from Ettl Circle reported that two vehicles were burglarized between 8 p.m. May 12 and 3:30 p.m. on May 13. Both vehicles were parked in the resident’s driveway and left unlocked, according to the police report. A pair of sunglasses and a black case containing a vehicle manual and registration card were reported stolen.

On the same day at Christopher Drive, a resident told police her unlocked vehicle was burglarized between 3 p.m. on May 12 and 8:45 a.m. May 13. Various items were reported stolen.
