Princeton Area Community Foundation Appoints Carol Herring Chair
She takes over for David Scott, who helped the foundation raise its assets over $100 million.

A Princeton resident is the new chair of the Princeton Area Community Foundation Board of Trustees, according to the foundation’s website.
Carol P. Herring takes over the reigns from David R. Scott, who helped the foundation raise its assets over $100 million during his time as chair. Herring was the board vice chair for the last two years.
Herring worked at Princeton University from 1975-90, where she was the first assistant to the president on special projects and director of leadership gifts. She also serves as a trustee at the Princeton Day School and Trenton Children’s Chorus, and held leadership positions at Barnard College and the Asia Society in New York.

Most recently, she served as President of the Rutgers University Foundation, and Executive Vice President of Development & Alumni Affairs at Rutgers University.
