Princeton Board Of Education Candidates To Participate In Forum

Candidates will be fielding questions sent in by voters at this virtual forum.

PRINCETON, NJ — The Princeton Public Schools Board of Education elections is a highly contested one this year, with eight candidates vying for three seats.

The League of Women Voters of the Princeton Area will be hosting a virtual public forum with the candidates on Sep. 30, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The seats held by Beth Behrend, Michelle Tucker-Ponder and Jessica Deutsch are up for grabs, with Behrend and Tucker-Ponder seeking re-election.

They are being challenged by Adam Bierman, Hendricks S. Davis, Jean Y. Durbin, Paul M. Johnson, Karen Lemon and William “Bill” Hare.

The forum will be televised on Comcast CH 30 (Princeton only) and Verizon FiOS CH 45. It will also be streamed on Princeton TV www.princetontv.org and at www.facebook.com/PrincetonTelevision.

A recording of the forum will be available on www.VOTE411.org, at Princeton TV’s sites and at www.lwvprinceton.org and facebook.com/LWVPRINCETON. It will be rebroadcast on PCTV.

Candidates will be fielding questions sent in by voters prior to the forum. The elections are scheduled for Nov. 3.
