Princeton Boys Lacrosse on a 10-Game Winning Streak
Team will play in Mercer County Tournament semifinals on Monday.

No one on the Princeton High boys lacrosse team was happy with the way the season started. Now there are probably a few mores smiles around the team now.
After getting off to a 1-3-1 start, Princeton has won 10 games in a row.
"The team has been playing well," Coach Peter Stanton said. "We are getting excellent goaltending and leadership from Griffin Peck. We are getting solid defense, led by Michael Irving, Robby Dowers, Jack Miller and Dean DiTosto. We are also getting timely scoring from Mike Hellstern, Kirby Peck and Will Kister."

"We won our quarterfinal in the MCT in a scrappy 8-4 win," Stanton said. "We had a three-goal burst in the second quarter and held them off the rest of the way."
Princeton also defeated West Windsor South, 6-5, in overtime in a regular season game on May 10.
Kirby Peck scored the game-winning goal in overtime. Griffin Peck had 14 saves in goal.
Princeton's tenth win in a row was a 12-2 win over Northern Burlington on Thursday.
Hellstern and Kirby Peck scored four goals each in the win.
Princeton is undefeated this month.
The team won against Robbinsville (11-7) and Notre Dame (18-6). That is important because, in addition to Hopewell, those are the only other two opponents left in the MCT.
"Monday is the MCT semifinal against Hopewell, who beat us earlier in the season (7-6)," Stanton said. "We play the winner of Robbinsville/Notre Dame if we win."
In addition to the MCT, Princeton is also hoping to do well in the state tournament.
"We are hoping to be in the top eight in Group III," Stanton said.
