Princeton Community Event To Celebrate Educator Robert Ginsberg
The Princeton Parent Teacher Organization Council has planned a celebration of Ginsberg's career and contribution on May 6.

PRINCETON, NJ — Robert Ginsberg, well-known educator at Princeton Public Schools, retired on Jan 1, after a 58 long year career. The Princeton Parent Teacher Organization Council and the Johnson Park Elementary School PTO plan a celebration of Ginsberg’s career and contribution on May 6.
Ginsberg has been a significant part of Princeton Public Schools since 1988. The celebration will take place from 3 p.m. until dusk at Johnson Park Elementary School, where Ginsberg served as principal for 21 years. The evening will include musical performances by the Princeton High School Band and teachers, food trucks, games, and a dedication ceremony for the JP amphitheater, which will be declared the Dr. Robert A. Ginsberg Amphitheater.
Ginsberg received his Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Administration, and Organizational Behavior from Cornell University and was hired by Princeton Public Schools in 1988 to be principal of Littlebrook School.

He was principal of Johnson Park Elementary School for 21 years before returning to the PPS administrative offices as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction in mid-2020.
Currently, Ginsberg serves as the president of the Princeton Public Library's Board of Trustees and volunteers with the Delaware & Raritan Greenway, the Morven Museum and Garden, the Historical Society of Princeton, the Ying Hua International School, and the municipality's Vision Zero Task Force.

Former colleagues, friends, students, and the wider Princeton community are invited to attend the celebration on May 6.
To help celebrate Ginsberg's achievements and contributions to PPS, community members are also invited to purchase a personalized brick to be installed at the Amphitheater or to buy a tributary advertisement in a memory book that will be given to Ginsberg.
