Princeton Day School Earns Green Ribbon Recognition

It is now up for a national designation.

Princeton Day School is one of four schools designated as a New Jersey 2015 Green Ribbon School.

Upper School English teacher and Sustainability Coordinator Liz Cutler announced the news during the school’s Board of Trustees meeting Monday night.

“In 2007, our sustainability initiative began,” Cutler said. “It started with a small group of volunteers, and we asked ourselves what kinds of students we were creating. We centered our work around facilities, curriculum and institutional behavior. We have since become a national leader in this area.”

She said the school’s sustainability team went through a rigorous application process, which included making a video about the program. That video is attached to this post.

As a Green Ribbon School, Princeton Day School is also nominated for designation as a U.S. Department of Education 2015 Green Ribbon School.
