Princeton First Responders Offer Drive-By Birthday Celebrations
Princeton fire, police and EMS are bringing smiles to kids faces amid a time when parties are being canceled due to the new coronavirus.

PRINCETON, NJ — In a time when children may have to cancel their birthday parties due to the new coronavirus outbreak, Princeton Fire Department is offering drive-by birthday celebrations for kids.
"The PFD simply wants the community to know that we are always here for the community protect and serve but most of all care deeply about. We understand that it is a tremendous let down to have a celebration canceled due to the times we are all going through and hope that a little surprise can go a long way and make a special positive memory memory out of these hard times shared by all. We've received many thanks and an tremendous amount of support we just simply want to be able to give a little extra while practicing 'social distancing'," said Princeton Fire Department Deputy Chief Devin Davis.

During the drive-by celebration the department will be joined by the Princeton Police Department and Princeton First Aid Squad. The convoy will come by a resident's home to wave, say hello, and wish a 'Happy Birthday' over the speaker system.
Residents can request a drive-by celebration for any child who are middle school aged and below. Requests can be made by calling the Princeton Fire Station directly at 609-497-7648 and they will accommodate a time request as best they can.
