Princeton High School Football Team Earns No. 7 Seed in Playoffs

Princeton will visit Brick Township, Friday night at 7 p.m., according to nj.com.

Despite having just one loss, the Princeton High School football team will spend the duration of its playoff experience on the road.

Princeton (8-1) is the No. 7 seed in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV playoffs, and will visit No. 2 Brick Township (8-1) on Friday night, 7 p.m., according to nj.com.

Princeton and Brick were two of three teams in the group with one loss, along with No. 6 Jackson Memorial (8-1).

All other teams, including top-seeded Middletown South, had two losses.

Power points are used to determine the eight teams who make the playoffs. They are calculated based on the size of the schools a team has defeated, and the number of wins that team has.

From this point on, it doesn’t matter which team had the most power points. Whoever keeps winning will the title.

No. 8 Burlington Township (6-2) at No. 1 Middletown South (6-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

No. 5 Freehold Borough (7-2) at No. 4 Neptune (6-2), Saturday, 1 p.m.

No. 7 Princeton (8-1) at No. 2 Brick Township (8-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

No. 6 Jackson Memorial (8-1) at No. 6 Middletown North (6-2), Friday, 7 p.m.
